Dr. Zuhal Butuner is an experienced professional with over 20 years of expertise in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, her passion lies in developing novel treatments for eye diseases. She has worked for companies such as Biogen, Bausch & Lomb, QLT, Bayer Canada, and Novartis Pharma. Dr. Butuner holds medical degrees from the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Guelph, Doctor of Optometry and Masters of Science in Vision Science from the University of Waterloo, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
